"There is nothing which I dread so much as a division of the republic into two great parties, each arranged under its leader, and concerting* measures in opposition to each other. This, in my humble apprehension, is to be dreaded as the greatest political evil under our Constitution." --John Adams ~ October 2, 1780

*Concerting:
1. To contrive or arrange by agreement.
2. Agreement of two or more individuals (parties) in a design or plan.
3. To arrange or contrive (a plan) by mutual agreement.
2012 Independent Statesman Party Platform

This is a platform offering Five Important Principles:

(1) No Promises because we are the servants of the People! And the People must be listened to, after all they are the self governed, choosing representatives on their behalf. Just Bold Action, Making the decisions of "We The People" with no respect of persons whom ever they may be.

(2) Accountability, applying Personal Responsibility In Daily Effort = PRIDE.

(3) Respect

(4) Thorough Oversight

(5) Proper Results.

Common Sense, Diplomacy and Tact.

A Common Sense Platform

A common platform of "We the People!", not passing convenience the product of the most open and transparent process in American political history. We offer it to our fellow Americans in the assurance that our ideals are those that unify our country. Courage in the face of foreign foes. An optimistic patriotism, driven by a passion for freedom. Devotion to the inherent dignity and rights of every person. Faith in the virtues of self-reliance, civic commitment, and concern for others. Distrust of government's interference in peoples' lives. Dedication to a rule of law that both protects and preserves liberty.

Committed to Victory

We present this platform at a time when our country is at war and committed to victory, but reckless political forces would imperil that goal and endanger our nation. In the economy and in society at large, it is a time of to return to the principles that made The United States of America "The Land of The Free and The Home of The Brave". We know the American people will meet these challenges. Even with the uncertainties we are faced with today, we will embrace the future, and be wise not to rush headlong into it. We are an adventurous people, also risk-taking people, and we could even be considered gamblers. A sound Free Republic trusts new leadership but insists that it demonstrate the old virtues: the character and the command that, in times of conflict and crisis, have led the Republic through its trials.

Proven Tests and Wisdom

This platform likewise rests on proven truths and tested wisdom as it looks ahead, both to deal with present challenges and to explore possibilities that may sometimes seem beyond our grasp. The Independent Statesman will show what the American people can accomplish when government respects their rights, conserves their resources, and calls upon their love of country. It is a tribute to a smaller government.

Party of a Unique American Spirit

Our platform is presented with enthusiasm and confidence in An American Vision for the future, but also with a genuine humility before God, and before our nation of free and independent thinkers. As the party of solutions, rather than a mere coalition of interests, we consider vigorous debate a strength, not a weakness. Indeed, we are a party, as we are a nation of We The People.

Yet we stand united today because we aspire to be the party that speaks to all Americans, liberals moderates, libertarians, conservatives, independents. We welcome all to our deliberations in the firm belief that the principles embodied in this platform will prove to be as compelling and persuasive as they are vital and enduring. We do not fear disagreement, and we do not demand conformity, but we do fight for our principles with confidence that the best solutions will prevail in the end.

Our party embodies a uniquely American spirit. It is the spirit of independent minds, the conviction that open and honest debate is essential to the freedom we enjoy as Americans. This platform will stand as a testament to that freedom and stands as our promise to future generations that we will do whatever it takes to preserve it. It is grounded on our heartfelt belief that our principles, our policies, and our American Vision will lead "We The People", not just through present dangers, but to a horizon of Prosperity, Liberty and Unalienable Rights that no government can take away.

Gratitude for All Congresses

With gratitude for all Congress and honorable service for all Presidents and Vice Presidents from the past, the Independent Statesman Party now stands united behind virgin leadership of An American Vision. In support of "WE The People" across this nation and ever grateful to Almighty God for the political, religious, and civil liberties we enjoy. We, the representatives of the Independent Statesman Party in the states and territories of the United States, offer this platform to the "We The People" Defending Our Nation, Supporting Our Heroes, Securing Our Peace.

Twenty-three decades ago, in this nation, Americans came together to advance the cause of freedom and liberties. They had witnessed the wreckage of Dictatorial, Marxist, Communist and Social Fascist governments with bad intentions at the highest levels of government, the folly of an imperial foreign policy. And so, in defiance of a world-wide Dictatorial, Marxist, Communist and Social Fascist advance, they announced a goal as enduring as the vision of Isaiah, to "proclaim liberty to the captives," and summed up America's strategy for achieving that end in a timeless slogan: "Peace through strength and enduring peace, based on freedom and the will to defend it."

That goal still requires the unity of "We The People" beyond differences of party and conflicts of personality. The Jealousy, The Hatred, The Animosity of past years must now give way to a common goal of security and peace for our country and safety for our People.

God Has Already Blessed America, It Is Now Time For America To Bless God

What does America Need or Want? Five Important Principles An American Vision has to offer We the People:
          (1) No Promises, Just Bold Action
          (2) Accountability
          (3) Respect
          (4) Thorough Oversight
          (5) Proper Results as in "A United Republic or a Divided Democracy; Your Choice."
Conducted with Common Sense, Diplomacy and Tact. A Common Man, a "Statesman" for We the People!

"Guard with jealous attention the public liberty. Suspect everyone that approaches that jewel. Unfortunately, nothing will preserve it but downright force. Whenever you give up that force, you are inevitably ruined." -Patrick Henry, speech of June 5, 1788

"Bad men cannot make good citizens. It is when a people forget God that tyrants forge their chains. A vitiated state of morals, a corrupted public conscience, is incompatible with freedom. No free government, nor the blessings of liberty, can be preserved to any people except by a firm adherence to justice, moderation, temperance, frugality, and virtue; and by a frequent recurrence to fundamental principles." --Patrick Henry

"Most people today would probably choose slavery over freedom, even if they did know the difference. After all, freedom is harder - it requires full unlimited responsibility and accountability for one’s life. Most people today are either too apathetically lazy or too complacently busy making a living to be free." --2008 David Ion

"If we can prevent the government from wasting the labours of the people under the pretense of caring for them, they will be happy." --Thomas Jefferson

"Decency, security, and liberty alike demand that government officials shall be subjected to the same rules of conduct that are commands to the citizen. In a government of laws, existence of the government will be imperiled if it fails to observe the law scrupulously. Our government is the potent, the omnipresent teacher. For good or for ill, it teaches the whole people by its example." --1928, Justice Brandeis

"We must learn to translate our platform policy into action of "We The People", to be good at getting not only the leaders but also the listener to understand and master every movement and every struggle we launch, this is the art of Natural Law in leadership. It is also the dividing line that determines whether or not we learn from our mistakes in daily life." --Bill Nees 2010

"We will be Ever Vigilant in the defense of our Republic, Constitution, Precepts and Ideals set forth by our Country's Founding Fathers through Education, Knowledge and Wisdom guided by Liberty, Honesty and Equality so help us God." --David Ion 2009
